Terms and refunds
Plain terms for buying and using a StackSmith stack.
What you are buying
A digital deployment kit: configuration files, scripts, a runbook and written documentation. You receive a download link after payment. There is no hosted service and no recurring charge.
Licence of the kit
You may use the kit on your own infrastructure and modify it freely. You may not resell or redistribute the kit itself as your own product.
Third-party components
The kit installs and configures open-source software written by other projects. Those components remain under their own licences (MIT, Apache-2.0 or BSD-3-Clause) and their own copyright. See the licensing page. You are responsible for complying with each component's licence.
Refunds
If a stack does not work for you, email billing@stacksmith.io within 14 days of purchase with your order email and we will refund it in full. No reason needed. After 14 days, purchases are final.
Support
Every purchase includes email support for the tier you bought. The $200 and $300 tiers include 30 days of priority support; the $300 tier includes a live onboarding session, scheduled by email.
No warranty
The kit is provided as is. It is configuration and documentation, and it is your responsibility to run it securely on your own infrastructure.
